Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Mustaʿsim billah (AH 640-656 / AD 1242-1258) within a dotted square, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad rasūl Allāh / al-imām al-Mustaʿṣim / billāh amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Imam al-Mustaʿsim billah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); around, ‘sana – 6 wa ar–baʿīn wa – sitta miʾa’ (‘Year 646’ in Arabic). Rev. Within a dotted square, ‘al-sulṭān al-aʿẓam / ẓill Allāh fī al-ʿālam / ʿIzz al-Dunyā wa al-Dīn / Kaykāwus ibn Kaykhusraw’ (‘The supreme sultan, the shadow of Allah in the world, ʿIzz al-Dunya wa al-Din Kaykaʾus son of Kaykhusraw’ in Arabic); around, ‘ḍuriba hādhā – al-dirham – bi Qū–niya’ (‘This dirham was struck in Konya’ in Arabic).
